Okaaaayyyyy, before we begin to compare these two multi billion dollar companies, let’s take it back to the where it all started.

INSTAGRAM: Started in 2010 by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, and it was a 13-person company #imagine. Fast forward to April 9, 2012 they sold their company to competitor Facebook for $1 billion. $300 million in cash and the rest in Facebook stock. #BallerStatus.

SNAPCHAT: Started in September 2011 by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown, former students at Stanford University. However annnnddd of course, Facebook reached out to buy the photo and video sharing app for $3 billion dollars in cash. #sweating. But they got turned down.

Fast forward August 2nd 2016, Instagram introduced its own very Instagram Stories, which is exactly the same concept introduced by Snapchat. Now I’m pretty sure Snapchat was looking at Instagram like this when they heard of the new update
